Switch Back and Forth Between Windows of the Same Application with this Keyboard Shortcut
Pressing “CMD (command) + `” (left of the #1 button) allows you to switch back and forth between windows of the same application on a Mac.
I’ve been using Macs for over 11 years now and never realized this. I’ve always been using the 4 finger swipe down to switch between windows of the same application. It wasn’t until yesterday when I accidentally found this shortcut to switch.
I usually have at least 2 windows of the same application opened at one time and it was always a pain in the ass for me to switch between them. I know “CMD + Tab” switches between applications but never knew how to switch between windows of the same application. Now I do! And if you didn’t know, you now know too!
