The Best Shoe Insoles For Standing All Day

I leave for work at 5:30 in the morning and I get home at 5:30 at night – all but about 70-80 minutes (commuting and lunch), is me standing on my feet or walking around (I average about 10 miles a day of walking around). I am not walking on carpet either – it’s hard concrete. I wear sneakers; I can only imagine what people who wear boots or dress shoes and have to stand all day have to go through.

The past few weeks, when I come home, my body is aching and my legs are killing me. I try to alternate between 2 pairs of shoes every other day so they don’t get worn down, and in the past, I never had a problem. I came to the conclusion that I need to either buy a new pair of shoes or find a good pair of shoe insoles – I decided on the latter.

I went out shopping on Thursday morning and I was on a mission to find myself a pair of the best shoe insoles that will give me all-day comfort and help support my arches.

In the past, I tried the Dr. Scholl’s Custom Fit Inserts – this is the one where you stand on a machine and it will have you stand in various ways to map out your pressure zones and then at the end, it’ll recommend a certain pair of shoe insoles for you, that are to help with those pressure zones – but even though they helped, they are too expensive in the long run – they’re about $50.00 a pair! Dr. Scholl’s recommends replacing them every month – that’s $600 a year; I was not going to keep spending that much money for shoe inserts – I would be better off just going out and buying a new pair of shoes every month for that amount of money. Heck, I could even go to a pediatrist and get custom ones made for less.

I mean sure, If you can afford the Dr. Scholl’s Custom Fit Inserts, then I would highly recommend them to anybody who has sore feet and have to stand all day. If you tried other shoe inserts on the market and weren’t pleased, I’m pretty positive you’d have good results with these. My main issue is trying to justify the cost for me.

What Other Options Are Available For Shoe Inserts?

I went to a few different stores to their shoe accessory areas and looked at what they had to offer – and there was A LOT to offer. You can get insoles for your heels, the balls of your feet, or the arches of your feet or you can get shoe inserts that cover the whole foot – and all of those have different ‘options’ as well; it all depends on what you’re looking for and what your main foot issue is.

For me, I decided to go with a whole shoe insert, but then I had to narrow down my selection by types of comfort, features, sizes… it wasn’t easy. It was a pain in the ass, to be honest.

I ended up going with Airplus Ultra Work Memory Plus Insoles. The features and the price sounded the best to me, so I decided to give them a try.

Here’s a list of the features these shoe insoles are supposed to have:

  • Memory foam instantly molds to the foot to offer personalized comfort
  • Relieves pain from working and standing on hard surfaces and rugged worksites
  • Offers all day comfort and support
  • Targeted heel protection absorbs extreme shock
  • Ideal for any type of work boots, casual shoes, or sneakers

So, I found pretty much what I was looking for. They’re supposed to relieve pain from working and standing on hard surfaces – and that’s pretty much what I’m needing. It seems like the Airplus Ultra shoe insoles would be the best inserts for me, since they offer most of the benefits that I’m looking for.

I put them in my shoes right after I got home and wore them around for the past 2 days and I will say that they do absorb a lot of pressure and shock. Walking in them feels so much better than a new pair of shoes.

I wore them while decorating the house and carrying boxes from the basement to the 1st floor, walking around outside…etc, and they worked like a charm.

My feet were not hurting at all. My knees and ankles weren’t bothering me and at the end of the day and I wasn’t sore and exhausted like I normally would be with that amount of walking and climbing throughout the day.

Now granted, it wasn’t for 13 hours and I wasn’t always walking on cement; but just by walking up and down the stairs a few times and walking to the back of the basement, it gave me an idea as to how these shoe insoles will work and hold up. As of right now, I am enjoying them. I’ll be putting them to the real test on Tuesday and will report back with the results.

I have some pictures attached at the bottom to show what they look like.

UPDATE: I just wanted to give an update on how well the Airplus Ultra Work Memory Plus Insoles perform – they’re AMAZING!

I used them for the whole week and at the end of the day, my feet weren’t hurting me and my body doesn’t hurt the next day. These shoe insoles are a must if you stand and walk all day. They live up to their expectations. Standing shoe insoles can help you have a good day or a bad day – finding the right ones is detrimental!

Now, I have to see how long they last and if they continue to perform highly. I will give other updates as to how they’re holding up after I’ve been using them longer and hopefully they continue to last a lot longer!

Another update: Well, I’ve been wearing the Airplus Ultra shoe inserts for a little over a month now, and I must say, they’re still going strong! I am still impressed with them.

I figured within a month, I would have to replace them, but that is not the case at all with these. My feet are still being cushioned and they aren’t tired when I get home at night. My body is a little tired but I attribute that to getting old ??? I wish there was something I could take for that!

After a month of use, they’re still going strong and I still recommend the Airplus Ultra shoe insoles to anybody who has to walk a lot or are standing on concrete all day. These insoles are the best shoe insoles that will absorb a lot of that impact and will help prevent you from getting fatigued throughout the day.

Shoe insoles that are made to comfort your feet while standing/walking all day are a must-have if you are constantly on your feet and/or do a lot of walking throughout your day.

After a while, the impacts start to take their toll on your feet, legs, knees, hips, back, neck and even your mood. Sure, it might not be so bad when you’re in your teens and 20s, but as you get older, the aches and pains are more prominent and last longer and anything you can do to help minimize them, make a world of difference.
