E2 The Inspiring Dad 2.0 – Better Sounding

The Inspiring Dad 2.0

Yes, I’ve already done a few episodes of my podcast, but the quality of them isn’t very good. I was using Voice Memos on my iPhone 7 and used the EarPods that came with it to do my first couple recordings 😳 (and as you can imagine, they don’t sound all that good). Well, as most of you probably know, I am a Redditor and this year,  I signed up for their Secret Santa gift exchange and my Secret Santa got me a Snowball iCe Microphone and a pop screen. How fricking amazing is that?!? I was looking for a new and better mic and I did read great reviews about the Snowball iCE, but I wasn’t quite ready to pull the trigger on the purchase until made more episodes and see if people were actually interested. But my amazing Secret Santa pretty much decided for me, that I will continue with the podcast and I will sound go doing it! The Inspiring Dad 2.0!

Well, even with my shitty sounding first episodes, people are interested in listening to me! Believe it or not! I’m shocked too! I’ve been receiving messages left and right and people giving me advice, asking me to do episodes on certain topics and a lot of people are sending me words of encouragement and all of it is amazing. I still can not believe people are interested in hearing me talk about anything, really! I know a lot of my topics so far haven’t been anything special but people are telling me to keep doing them and they’ll keep listening. That’s what I’m going to do.

I started my blog because I want to inspire as many people as I can. I want everybody to be happy and less stressed out and with the help of the podcasts, I’ll be able to reach many more people and get my point across better (because I can’t really express myself when I type and sometimes the point of something gets lost). Now, with the help of the podcasts, I can make sure I get my point across and allow people to truly understand the topic at hand and allow myself to dive into it and talk as much as I want about it without having to worry about spelling and punctuation errors. I know I might not sound the best, but I think I can captivate an audience!

Think of the butterfly effect that could happen with this… because my Secret Santa gifted me a microphone, that gives me a little push to keep going and make more episodes while sounding better and more professional and that in turn gets more listeners and the more listeners I have, the more popular I get and before you know it, I’m sitting on stage with Fallon shooting the shit and then Ellen calls me and begs me to go on her show (she would not have to beg me! 😄) and before you know it, I’ll be just like Ashton Kutcher and be able to move out of Iowa and star in my own sitcom (even though I’m originally from PA)… me and Chris Pratt hang out and are besties and Tim Cook wants me to be the first to try new Apple products and James Franklin gets me my own suite built in Happy Valley… all of this because of my SS. And the whole time, every chance I got, I would be thanking my SS- in fact, I would invite them along for the ride… I’m still trying to find out who they are (I asked them for their name at least) because they should not go unknown to me.

I know, I do have dreams… in fact they’re huge dreams; but I’m only on this rock for a limited amount of time, so I’m gonna be happy living it and if my website, podcast and my dreams make me happy, well, I’m gonna keep doing it. And if they can make somebody else happy as well, that’s even better. I mean, I know I won’t appeal to everybody, but there are 7 BILLION people on this planet, there has to be a few people who will enjoy me! Right?!? 😬

Don’t ever give up on your dreams. No matter how small, big, goofy, out of reach…etc, they might seem- they’re YOUR dreams and they’re making YOU happy. If you really want those dreams, go and achieve them. One step at a time. My dreams are ridiculous and farfetched but I’m still taking the steps to reach them (however small they maybe) because who doesn’t want to shoot the shit with Fallon, Ellen, Chris Pratt, Tim Cook and James Franklin?!? And I may never reach them, but I will never know unless I try and if I die trying, that means I died happy.

Go check out my podcast and let me know what you think. I want to hear it ALL. The good, the bad and the ugly. The more I learn, the better I get and the better I get, the farther I will go. Help me help you!
