Homemade Baked Beans in a Slow Cooker

Who doesn’t love slow cookers?!? I never put any thought into owning one until my mother-in-law gave me one for Christmas about 6 years ago and I now consider it one of the best gifts I’ve ever received (from her). If you ever scoffed at a slow cooker, reconsider! You’ll be able to make easy recipes and don’t have to babysit anything. You can start it in the morning and come home to a hot dinner after work.

These homemade baked beans in a slow cooker are a little bit sweet, a little bit salty and a whole lot of tastiness! Cook time is 8-10 hours on low and 4-5 hours on high.

Ingredients:

3 – 16oz cans of Navy Beans

1/4 cup Dark Molasses

1/4 tsp. Dry Mustard

1/2 cup Ketchup

1/2 tsp. Ground Black Pepper

1 Tbs. Worcestershire Sauce

Instructions:

Place all ingredients into the slow cooker and mix. Cover and cook on low 8-1o hours or 4-5 on high

The instructions are pretty easy, aren’t they? That’s the great thing about slow cookers – you can set and forget most of them – especially the newer ones since they have auto-shutoff. I’m telling you, go and get yourself a slow cooker for Christmas! You won’t regret it!

By the way, I purchased this slow cooker about 2 years ago and I use it as my main one
